Chastity and Sexual Orientation Pt. 2

The story of Ray Boltz (click here) or (here) really got me thinking about this.

So - here are some questions I have been asking myself about homosexuality, salvation, and the Bible.
  1. Are there homosexuals in heaven?
  2. Are there homosexuals on earth, that are part of God’s elect?
  3. If there was a person in your church that was a member and had fallen into sexual sin with the person of the same sex and confessed it, what steps would you take to minister to this person?
  4. If there was a person in your church that was a member and had fallen into sexual sin with the person of the same sex and refused to repent, what steps would you take to minister to this person?
  5. If there was a person in your church that was a member and confessed that they were a homosexual and asked for help with temptation, what steps would you take to minister to this person?
  6. Can a person be a fully functioning, growing believer in Christ and never be cured of their homosexual orientation?
  7. What is your understanding of Jesus’ and Paul’s teaching on divorce and remarriage?
  8. Answer this question: Why did God create gender?
  9. In I Corinthians 1:9, does Paul refer to homosexual sex, or those who are homosexual in their orientation?                 Here is what the text says (ESV): “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality”
  10. Do you cringe less at the sins listed in I Corinthians 1:10 than you do at the ones listed in the preceding verse? Here is what the text says (ESV): “nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.”
  11. Why do people go to Hell?
  12. How do people stay out of Hell?
